Faces of Postpartum is at the intersection of social justice, advocacy, and transdisciplinary art. Our ever-growing initiatives carry the same heartfelt goal that propelled its creation from the very beginning: to serve postpartum people.
We aim to cast a net so wide that no postpartum human ever has to feel alone in this intense — borderline insane — and demanding adventure that is bringing a child onto this earth.
Between 2017 and 2022, Faces of Postpartum has published over one hundred postpartum stories. These publications are the backbone of the project and allowed us to build a community that empowers, supports, and radically includes every kind of postpartum journey.
From posed and environmental portraits to photojournalism, our aesthetic always aims to capture the rawness of each postpartum experience.
